How do I download drivers for an HP printer?

Find the make and model number of your HP printer (This example will be for an HP LaserJet Enterprise M608). This can be found on the front of the printer

Search the web for the make and model number of your printer to find the printer’s driver page or follow this link to HP Printer Drivers

Search the model number in the search field and click Submit

On the printer’s driver download page, expand the Basic Drivers section
5. Find the option with "PCL" (Printer Command Language) in it and select Download
- For example: HP LaserJet Enterprise M607/M608/M609 PCL6 Printer Driver (no installer)
6. Left-click to open the downloaded file in the bottom left
7. Extract the printer driver using default extraction (Case 1) or automatic extraction (Case 2)
Case 1: Using File Explorer’s default extractor, right click on the zipped folder and select Extract All...
- Copy the destination address using CTRL+C and save it somewhere you can reference in the following steps
Case 2: A pop-up will prompt you to extract the zipped folder to a destination
- Make a note of the destination address, saving it somewhere you can reference in the following steps. If necessary, select Unzip and click Ok or Yes
