Body

Question

Do I have to self-disclose my disability?

Answer

Once a student has been accepted to SDSU, the student must meet with the Office of Disability Services and self-disclose a disability to request and receive reasonable and appropriate accommodations while attending SDSU.

To request accommodations for the first time, please refer to Requesting Academic Accommodations for the First Time.

Students are encouraged to self-disclose their disability prior to beginning classes, but students may self-disclose their disability at any time during their academic career.

The Office of Disability Services can be reached at (605) 688-5585 or at SDSU.Disabilityservices@sdstate.edu. You can also visit the website for more information: https://www.sdstate.edu/office-multicultural-affairs-accessibility/disability-services.
