Remove S Mode in Windows 10

Question

My system came with S Mode on it and it won't let me install programs. How do I remove S Mode in Windows 10?

Answer

1. Click Start (Windows button)
2. Select Settings (gear icon)
3. Select Update & Security
4. Select Activation
5. Check if Edition shows Windows 10 Home in S mode
6. Select Go to the Store (Windows bag icon)
7. Select Get
   • If the Get button is grayed out, type Access work or school in your search bar and click on any school related email accounts there and click Disconnect. Then restart the Microsoft store and the Get button should no longer be gray.
   • Start > Settings > Gear Icon > Accounts > Access work or school
8. Select Install
9. A confirmation will show You're running Windows 10 - S mode Switch and you're all set!
10. The Edition showing in the Activation window should now show Windows 10 Home
