Remove Saved 802.1x Password from Keychain on Mac

Question

I saved my Wifi credentials in the window shown below and now my wired internet won't connect on my Mac. How do I delete my saved 802.1x password so that my MAC bypassed Mac will connect on ethernet?

Prompt displays text Select the certificate or enter the name and password for this 802.1x network.

Answer

  1. Click the Spotlight icon (magnifying glass) in the menu bar
  2. In the search field, type Keychain Access and press Enter
  3. Click the Passwords section
  4. In the search bar in the top right corner of the window, search "802"
  5. Control-click (or right-click) the items in the list and click Delete (Note: They should show up as the network name, e.g. SDSUFacStaff)
