Forget or Remove a Saved Wifi Network on Windows 10/11

Question

How do I forget or remove a saved Wifi network on Windows 10/11?

Answer

To forget a network

  1. Open Settings:

    • Press the Windows Key + I to open Settings.

  2. In Settings, select Network & Internet on the left panel

  3. Select Wi-Fi in the right panel of the window, then select Manage known networks.

  4. Find the network(s) you want to remove, then select Forget.

    • If you are attempting to troubleshoot a password lockout issue, recommended networks to forget are: Eduroam, SDSUFacStaff, SDSUGuest

  5. Afterwards, if you wish to reconnect, simply select the Wi-Fi icon on the Windows taskbar and try to reconnect to the desired network to renew the network connection. Make sure that you are in range of the wireless network, or it will not appear in the network list.
