How to Check if Your Account is Protected by Duo MFA

🔍 Step 1: Use a Private Browsing Window
Visit https://jacksemail.sdstate.edu using a private/incognito window in your browser (links lead to instructions for opening this window):

✅ Your Account Is Enrolled in Duo If You See Any of the Following:

  • You’re prompted to approve a Duo Push on your phone
  • You’re asked to enter a pass code during login
  • You see a message like:
    “For security reasons, we require additional information to verify your account”

❌ Your Account Is Not Yet Enrolled in Duo If:

  • You’re able to sign in to your email without receiving a Duo Push or being asked for a pass code

🕒 Note for New Faculty/Staff

New accounts may not have Duo enabled during the first week of employment.  You’ll receive communication once your account is added to Duo.
