What is it?
SDSU Student Accounts
Student accounts are automatically created for all SDSU students who have either been accepted to the university or have registered for an SDSU course.
Email Format: first.last@jacks.sdstate.edu
These accounts - referred to as Jacks Accounts - provide access to a wide range of SDSU services, including:
- MyState
- D2L (Desire2Learn)
- Wireless Network Access
- ConnectState
- Banner Self-Service
- Degree Works
- Scholarship Application System
- Experience/Mobile App
- Wellness Center Portal
- Housing Application
- Parking Services
- Card Services
- Handshake
- Open Prairie
- Study Abroad
- Terra Dotta
- Printing Services (PaperCut)
- DocuSign
- Box
- OneDrive
- Microsoft Teams
Account Retention After Leaving SDSU
Students who graduate or leave SDSU for other reasons will retain access to their Jacks Account until the census date of the following semester. After that point, access to all services listed above will be removed - except for email, which remains active. Students will have to convert from DUO to Microsoft MFA at this point to retain their email address.
Student Employee Accounts
Upon employment, students gain access to a @sdstate.edu account for business and work-related purposes, specifically, which goes away upon unemployment (see Employee page)
