How do students connect their personal Mac computer to wired internet (with ethernet) on campus?

Answer

  1. Plug an ethernet cable into the wall port or access point and then into your system, dongle or dock

  2. Locate your wired MAC address

  3. Fill out the Network Device Registration Form on MyState

    • You can search "Network Device Registration Form" in the search box on MyState or find it in the list of forms on your MyState Dashboard or under the Resources tab

  4. Wait until the top of the hour passes (e.g. If you fill out the form at 2:05pm, wait until after 3:00pm)

  5. Unplug your ethernet cable and plug it back in
