Reactivate Duo on Your New Device

Question

Your old phone used for Duo was lost, damaged, stolen or replaced and you need to activate Duo on a new phone.

Answer

 

To add a new device or number to your DUO please do the following: 

 

1) Go to myduo.sdstate.edu and sign in with your username (usually this is your first and middle initial followed by your last name and it uses your email password). 

2) Write down the Bypass Codes given. 

3) Go to a site that requires DUO (ie. outlook.sdstate.edu) and sign in. 

4) When you get the screen that says enter a bypass code or with the three digit verification number, DO NOT DO ENTER YET

5) Click on 'Need Help?' in the bottom left corner. 

6) Then click 'Manage devices.' 

7) Now you can choose enter one of the bypass codes. 

8) This will then bring you to the page where you can add a new device, or remove an old one.
