Reactivate Duo on Your New Device

Question

Your old phone used for Duo was lost, damaged, stolen or replaced and you need to activate Duo on a new phone.

Answer

  1. Go to https://myduo.sdstate.edu and sign-in
  2. Fill in the requested fields
  3. Record your bypass codes
  4. Go to any of the following sites using an Incognito/Private/InPrivate window and sign-in with your SDState email and password:

  1. Do NOT authenticate with Duo. Click on Other options.

Note: Before you can select Settings, you may need to click Cancel, Dismiss or Other options if it is sending you an automatic Push.

  1. Select Manage Devices
  2. Select Bypass code, enter one of your bypass codes and click Verify
  3. Select I have a new phone
  4. Select Get Started
  5. Select Next and leave the QR code open
  6. On your phone, open the Duo Mobile app and Select + Add
  7. Select Use QR Code
  8. Scan the QR Code you opened on your computer
  9. Select Save on your phone
  10. Select Continue
  11. Select “Back to login ->”
  12. Select Duo push to finish logging in
