Steps for activating Microsoft Authenticator after a reset

โœ… Prerequisites

  • You have access to your new phone.
  • You have access to a computer.
  • You can know your South Dakota State University Microsoft account information.
  • The Microsoft Authenticator app is installed on your new phone.

  1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your new phone.
  2. If your South Dakota State University account is already listed (from a backup or previous setup):
    • Tap the three dots (โ‹ฎ) or gear icon next to the account.
    • Select Remove account or Delete.
    • Confirm the removal.
