Desire to Learn (D2L) is the online virtual classroom that is often utilized in SDSU courses.


Office 365 is a suite of productivity apps and services including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and more.

IDS Online/Hybrid Course Design House is a part of IDS services provided to SDSU colleges and departments. One of its primary goal is to facilitate colleges and departments to accomplish double growing online degrees and programs in Image! 2020.

The Online/Hybrid Instructor Certification Program is a comprehensive training program that focuses on the pedagogy and best practices of teaching online/hybrid. It does not teach the participants how to use the D2L tools within an online course, but rather focuses on teaching strategies for the online environment.


Camtasia Studio is a screen recording video editing software that turns screen recordings into polished videos for teaching. South Dakota State University has bought several licenses for faculty use.
