The Online/Hybrid Instructor Certification Program is a comprehensive training program that focuses on the pedagogy and best practices of teaching online/hybrid. It does not teach the participants how to use the D2L tools within an online course, but rather focuses on teaching strategies for the online environment.


IDS supports Closed Caption through Stream, Camtasia, and Zoom for special needs users.

Duo Two Factor Authentication is an additional step in security that the University has implemented to help protect your account from falling into the wrong hands.


NVivo is intended to help users organize and analyze non-numerical or unstructured data. The software allows users to classify, sort and arrange information; examine relationships in the data; and combine analysis with linking, shaping, searching and modeling.

JMP Pro is a data analysis tool that helps you tackle your routine and difficult statistical problems through data visualization and statistical modeling.

This service supports system integrations, data flows, and enhancements that enable staff to work more effectively and consistently.

R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics.


MATLAB is a programming and numeric computing platform used to analyze data, develop algorithms, and create models.

Guidelines when onboarding new applications with SDSU


The IT Security team conducts security awareness training for all faculty/staff. Every new employee completes the training, and all existing employees must complete the training bi-annually. To supplement that training, we conduct simulated phishing campaigns and provide training to clickers as a part of that campaign. Additionally, our security awareness program provides digital media for social media posts and digital signage.


D2L

Desire to Learn (D2L) is the online virtual classroom that is often utilized in SDSU courses.


Microsoft 365 Copilot is a suite of productivity apps and services including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and more.


Desktop, laptop, device repair such as hardware and software troubleshooting, and repair.


The Support Desk provides assistance and information on all technology needs.


Use this service to report an issue with a system being down, unavailable, or not working and which systems are being affected.


Student affiliation is determined by Enrollment Services. They provide a list of current eligible students, though a nightly data feed to the system.
